De Ambassade (nl)

Only recently the identity of Knekelhuis’s mysterious and much applauded moniker De Ambassade got revealed. It turns out to be Pascal Pinkert, accompanied by bass player Timothy Francis, both known from Dollkraut. In the greyness by the concrete of an isolated Amsterdam suburb you could find Dutch analog synth wizard Pascal Pinkert working on his dark wave salvation. The spot turned out to be the ideal dwelling place for the writing of De Ambassade's debut album Duistre Kamers (Dark Rooms). Dutch lyrics, oddball gloomy synth/wave and beautifully blissed-out analog jaunts make this music encapsulating and unique.

Duistre Kamers was released via Knekelhuis (EYE – Parrish Smith) in September ’19 and received some raving reviews. Inverted Audio for example: “''Mad good. undoubtedly one of this year’s finest debut albums, hands down.''
