DJ’s in the Foyer at PAARD

Friday:

DJ Cristel Ball scour music history in search of obscure gems, forgotten and not so forgotten hits. From the 50s to the present, from synth to punk, rock, new wave and always danceable.

Performing after midnight as DJ Graaf Drankula, Jordi Ariza Gallego will show his daylight alter ego to get himself and all of you chilling out in the Foyer, in the mood for some dancing and a long night ahead.

The Black Currant DJ team will bring some guitars to the game, but make no mistake, the dancing won’t be over. These three ladies are there for, and are, the lovers of fuzzy guitars and add dark and danceable sounds.

Daughters of Darkness, the DJ duo normally known as  Hoek & Heetveld goes as far as to changing their name for the occasion of playing at Grauzone festival, a name they came up with at last years edition. Inspired by the darkest of Grau, the Daughters of Darkness will spin their records to get you in the zone.

Saturday

On Saturday Tomo Katsurada who you may know from the band Kikagaku Moyo, will bring you tunes you may have never heard before. Tomo not only founded the label Guruguru Brain, his record collection will show you there is a lot more to discover you will be psyched out about. Followed up by Josie Pop who, don’t let the name fool you, is always searching the margins of the music world from the late 20th century to the present for the most intriguing songs. Music that brings something special: an exciting rhythm, mysterious vibe and always a bit sultry. Previously heard at various places, from Museum Night to Lowlands. Now especially for Grauzone in duo formation with some extra no-wave, krautrock and industrial sounds. Something Konkurrent’s Lara & Clara might take up a notch with obscure records mostly taken from this distributors warehouse. That is, until Grauzone legendary DJ Pink Noise takes over the decks to do exactly what his mood is. Spoiler alert, Pink Noise will only play Chrome, Demon Edge and Helios Creed.

DJ Charlie Avalon: Charlie Avalon, consisting of Charlie Rombach and Avalon Peters, lets you enjoy a sharp selection of indie music this evening. Characteristic of the duo's sets are the carefully selected songs from post-punk, new wave and electronic music. They have previously played at festivals such as Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, Down The Rabbit Hole and London Calling. , DJ Michèle Margot, DJ Stefan Karazyan is the co-founder of Changeover Festival in Belgrade.

& Clara Croft, who together with Grauzone’s founders Marc and Natasja is part of the Gatorland DJ crew. A combination that can only be found at Down The Rabbit Hole and many more festivals..
