Lydia Lunch’s Bog Sexy Noise (Us)
A true icon of underground music, Lydia Lunch returns to Grauzone with Big Sexy Noise—her band with James Johnston (Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, Faust) and Ian White (Barry Adamson, Gallon Drunk). It’s the original lineup, reunited after years apart, and their raw, unapologetic sound promises to shake the walls once again.
Lunch has been a central figure since the no wave era of 1977 with Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, remaining a fearless presence in alternative music and art. Big Sexy Noise strips rock’n’roll to its dirtiest core: raunchy riffs, primal drumming, and Lydia’s unmistakable voice turning every cliché on its head. Their forthcoming live album Big Sexy Noise Live in Italy (In The Red Records, 2026) captures the band at their ferocious best—a “balls to the wall rock monsterpiece.”
For Grauzone, Lydia’s return is extra special. She’s long been part of the festival family, performing here multiple times in the past, but this will be her first time back in years—and with Big Sexy Noise in full force.
