Nuha Ruby Ra, a rising force in the music scene, made waves in 2022 with her singles 'My Voice' and 'Self Portraiture' on Brace Yourself Records. These follow the critically acclaimed 'How To Move' EP from 2021, solidifying Nuha's position as one of the country's most exciting and thought-provoking new talents.
In March 2023, Nuha presents her most ambitious work to date with the EP 'Machine Like Me.' Influenced by Nick Cave's discordant first band The Birthday Party and German experimentalists Einstürzende Neubauten, the London artist makes hypnotic, uncomfortable, hyper-sensory music that's about as far away from an easily-quantifiable Spotify playlist category as you can get; on stage, she prowls the space. She's gearing up to tour with Self Esteem in support of this release, following previous tours alongside Yard Act, Warmduscher, Viagra Boys, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, and Bambara.
