Stella Rose (Uk)

Emerging from New York’s underground with a striking artistic vision, Stella Rose has quickly become one of the most captivating new voices in dark pop. Daughter of Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan, Stella has carved her own unique path—merging brooding guitars, visceral lyricism, and haunting vocals into music that feels both poetic and raw, drawing inspiration from icons such as Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, and David Bowie.

Her 2023 debut album Eyes of Glass received glowing reviews from outlets including NME, Uncut, and Rolling Stone and introduced her cinematic sound to the world, while her new EP Hollybaby (KRO Records, 2024) dives even deeper into shadowy atmospheres. Stella channels heat, chaos, and intensity into tracks like “MS.45,” “Drugstore Romeo,” and “Beautiful Twentysomethings”—the latter accompanied by a self-directed video. The result is music that captures the fragility and seduction of youth, but with a visceral punch.

Beyond music, Stella has also made waves in the fashion and art world, appearing on the covers of POP, W Magazine, and Lampoon, and performing at New York’s notorious parties like The Hancock. Yet at her core, Stella Rose is a performer whose dark, entrancing soundscapes come alive on stage.

We are delighted to welcome Stella Rose to Grauzone for the very first time—a rising artist whose sound perfectly resonates with the festival’s adventurous spirit.
