Buzz Kull (AUS)
After delivering one of the standout performances of Grauzone 2024, Buzz Kull returns to The Hague by popular demand. The project of Sydney-based musician Marc Dwyer, Buzz Kull occupies a unique space between post-punk, EBM, minimal wave and industrial music, combining pulsating synths, driving basslines, relentless drum machines and haunting vocals into a sound that is both deeply introspective and irresistibly physical.
Drawing inspiration from artists such as Joy Division, DAF, Front 242 and Skinny Puppy, Buzz Kull explores themes of alienation, existential longing and emotional desolation while transforming them into powerful, cathartic club music. Over the years, Dwyer has established himself as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary dark electronic music, touring internationally alongside artists including Molchat Doma, Boy Harsher, Cold Cave and Kontravoid.
Fresh from the release of the acclaimed EP Deep Hate (2026) on Heartworm Press, the label founded by Cold Cave's Wes Eisold, Buzz Kull continues to push his sound into darker and more ferocious territory. Featuring remixes by Cold Cave, Kontravoid, and Spike Hellis, the release further highlights his central place within today's international darkwave and industrial underground. That position was reinforced when Boy Harsher's Jae Matthews recently recorded a cover of Buzz Kull's Man On The Beat, underlining the growing influence of his work across the scene.
Buzz Kull remains one of the most vital acts operating in the global darkwave underground today.
