Cold Cave returns to Grauzone in a very special form, after memorable appearances at Grauzone in 2014 and 2024, In 2027, founder Wes Eisold brings Cremations to Europe for the very first time, presenting the earliest Cold Cave recordings in an intimate solo performance.
Cremations collected the project's earliest recordings, originally released in 2009 . Blurring the boundaries between synth-pop, industrial, shoegaze, noise and underground electronics, the record captured a uniquely haunted atmosphere, drawing comparisons to artists as diverse as Depeche Mode, My Bloody Valentine, Coil and Throbbing Gristle. What began as Eisold’s solo vision would later evolve into the full-band incarnation of Cold Cave, one of the most influential names in contemporary darkwave. Cremations remains a singular work: raw, experimental, intimate and uncompromising.
Following a handful of rare US performances, Grauzone 2027 will host the European presentation of this seminal release, a unique opportunity to experience the origins of Cold Cave brought to life by Wes Eisold himself.
