For Grauzone 2027, Curses returns with his full live band, bringing a new dimension to his signature blend of post-punk, darkwave, EBM and underground club culture. Born in New York and based in Berlin, Luca Venezia has become one of the most distinctive voices connecting alternative music and the dancefloor, combining driving rhythms, shimmering guitars and haunting vocals into a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-looking.

Through acclaimed releases such as Another Heaven, released on Italians Do It Better and co-produced by Johnny Jewel, as well as his influential Next Wave Acid Punx compilations and events, Curses has built an international reputation as both an artist and curator. Drawing inspiration from new wave, dark disco, EBM and post-punk, he continues to champion the darker edges of underground music while pushing them into new territory.

After several memorable appearances at Grauzone, the expanded live format adds even more energy, emotion and intensity to an artist who perfectly embodies the festival’s spirit of crossing boundaries between live music and club culture.
