eat-girls (fr)
Lyon post-punk trio eat-girls channel a playful yet cutting mix of minimal synth, post-punk, kraut, dub, and pop. Still writing and recording in their bedrooms while finishing their studies, the band has already begun making waves internationally with a handful of shows abroad.
In 2024, they released their debut album Area Silenzio on Bureau B Records, marking a bold step forward in their evolving sound. Switching seamlessly between French, Spanish, and English, their lyrics sometimes mean everything, sometimes nothing at all – a deliberate approach that mirrors life’s contradictions.
Their music draws on influences ranging from Kim Gordon and Delta 5 to The Cramps, The Flying Lizards, Siouxsie, and the brooding euro-goth of Xmal Deutschland, processed through a relentless Suicide-esque synth-punk energy. The result is a sound that feels like a lucid dream: sharp, curious, and defiantly original.
On stage, Amélie, Elisa and Maxence use their three voices, bass, guitar, synths, computer and various objects to revamp their produced material and we’re absolutely psyched to welcome eat-girls to Grauzone Festival, where they’ll bring their hypnotic and defiant sound to The Hague.
