FENNE KUPPENS (BE)
Brussels-based singer and lyricist Fenne Kuppens, best known as the frontwoman of Whispering Sons, reveals a new side of her artistry through her solo work. Known for her commanding presence, raw vocal delivery, and poetic lyricism, Kuppens now explores silence, restraint, and vulnerability in a deeply intimate musical language.
Her solo music strips away excess, allowing space and tension to speak as loudly as sound itself. Where Whispering Sons thrive on dark post-punk propulsion, Fenne’s solo work leans inward—quiet, fragile, and emotionally confrontational. Honesty is central here, even when it feels uncomfortable or unresolved.
Fenne Kuppens has performed multiple times at Grauzone with Whispering Sons, leaving a lasting mark on the festival’s history. This year, she returns in a completely new form: for the first time in the Netherlands with her solo material, presented in the unique and intimate setting of the Lutheran Church.
We are deeply honored to host this special performance and to witness Fenne Kuppens expand her artistic voice within the Grauzone context.
