Fit (NL)

The Utrecht-based post-punk band FIT has built a fierce reputation over the past year and a half with their explosive live shows and uncompromising energy. Their sound — a raw collision of punk urgency and funk-infused rhythm — rejects polish in favor of pure intensity.

Vocalist Ide Ploeg doesn’t just sing; he howls, growls, and shouts his lungs out, completely at home on stage. With unrestrained movement, piercing eye contact, and bursts of spontaneous interaction with the crowd, Ploeg is a frontman in the truest sense — one who sweats through liters of water as the band behind him drives forward like a tightly wound machine.

Guitarists Maas and Oscar bring a melodic and funky counterpoint to the aggression, weaving intricate riffs that balance precision with chaos. Together with drummer Mink, who keeps the band’s razor-sharp momentum in check, FIT deliver a sound that is both aggressive and tightly executed, the result of careful rehearsal and total commitment.

Influenced by modern post-punk acts like Squid and Fontaines D.C., FIT channels that same sense of tension and release, filtered through their own irreverent Dutch energy. Their debut single “Cash” is a striking mix of punk grit and funk groove, setting the tone for what’s to come.

Sweaty, sharp, and totally unapologetic, FIT are part of the new Dutch post-punk wave that’s impossible to ignore — chaotic yet precise, wild yet in control, check them out at Grauzone 2026!
