GRAUKUNST: BODY/ MACHINE

Mustaf Ahmeti - Riddle My Skin

Join us for the latest Graukunst exhibition BODY / MACHINE during Grauzone 2026.

Graukunst: Body / Machine is an exhibition of performances and art installations unfolding across multiple venues during Grauzone Festival. The programme bridges music audiences and the visual arts, inviting physical engagement while creating a platform for local artists to connect with an international public.

Rooted in the origins of Electronic Body Music (EBM) and its industrial heritage, Body / Machine traces a cultural lineage in which sound, movement and machinery merge into a single pulsating organism. Body and machine feed one another in continuous feedback loops, blurring the boundaries between human presence and mechanical rhythm.

The core of the exhibition takes place at The Grey Space, where paintings by Lotte Pet, sculptures by NVDP Studio, video work by Bart Hess, and the Electronic Body Movie screening come together with live performances by several artists, including Mustaf Ahmeti, who presents their queer, cyborgian and mythologically inspired performance, Riddle My Skin.

Beyond the exhibition space, Lola Brancovich performs at PAARD, while additional performances and interventions are spread throughout the festival and across different locations in the city. Graukunst: Body / Machine invites audiences not only to observe, but to feel — immersing themselves in a charged environment where art, music and machinery become inseparable.
