Holy Motors (EE)
Holy Motors from Tallinn, Estonia blend hypnotic dream pop, shoegaze, dark Americana and psychedelia.
Their new album Heaven’s Night was released last month on Wharf Cat Records and marks their first new music in four years experimenting with new wave while still recalling Mazzy Star, Galaxie 500 and The Velvet Underground. Frontwoman Eliann Tulve has collaborated with Kurt Vile and performed with The Jesus and Mary Chain, singing Hope Sandoval’s parts on “Sometimes Always.”
