Laura Krieg (CAN)

Montreal based Laura Krieg crafts a hypnotic world of darkwave, post-punk and what she aptly calls “brutalist pop” - stark, seductive and deeply atmospheric. Blending pulsing basslines, driving electronic percussion, atonal processed guitars and haunting vocals, her music feels both rooted in classic coldwave traditions and sharply attuned to the present moment.

In 2025 Laura Krieg released Crépuscule on Detriti Records -home to artists such as Molchat Doma, The Serfs and Filmmaker- a shadowy and synth-driven record that refines her singular vision drawing on the lineage of darkwave and coldwave while remaining unmistakably contemporary. Evoking echoes of Malaria!, early The Cure, Depeche Mode and X-Mal Deutschland, Laura Krieg transforms darkness into something strangely euphoric and deeply immersive.
