Lust for Youth (Swe)

Lust for Youth is a Danish–Swedish electronic duo known for their evocative fusion of synthpop, post-punk, and darkwave. Formed in Gothenburg and now based in Copenhagen, the project began as the solo venture of Hannes Norrvide before evolving into a collaboration with Malthe Fischer, whose crystalline production and synthesizer work brought a new depth to the project’s sound. Their music captures both the melancholic and the euphoric, a shimmering tension between detachment and desire.

Across several acclaimed releases on Sacred Bones Records, Lust for Youth have refined a sonic identity steeped in the gleaming synths and crisp drum patterns reminiscent of New Order, Depeche Mode, and the introspective edge of the early 1980s underground. Their output embodies the essence of modern coldwave: emotionally distant yet deeply affecting.

In June 2023, Lust for Youth performed alongside Croatian Amor (the alias of Danish artist Loke Rahbek) at the Sydney Opera House during Vivid Live Festival — a collaboration that reignited their long-standing creative partnership. Having worked together in various configurations over the past decade — with Rahbek once a member of Lust for Youth, the encounter led to a renewed artistic vision and the creation of their forthcoming collaborative album, All Worlds (2025) on Sacred Bones Records

With All Worlds, Lust for Youth and Croatian Amor unite once again. expanding the emotional and physical scope of their sound. It’s an evolution that speaks not only to their shared past but to the present moment: fragile, ecstatic, and alive with possibility.
