As we move toward the new year and with that, Grauzone Festival 2022 in February, we’re happy to first kick off the holiday season with a night at Lynk & Co including sets by Skemer from Belgium and Rotterdam-based producer Alberta Balsam as well as a set by the Grauzone DJ team.

Skemer is the collaboration between singer and model Kim Peers and Amenra’s guitarist Mathieu Vandekerckhove. The collision of these two worlds results in danceable minimalistic darkwave sound which will be performed live. We recommend checking out their latest release Benevolence on the Italian label AVANT! Records. Skemer played at Grauzone in 2020, we’re excited to welcome them back!

Alberta Balsam’s live sets are strictly hardware-based performance. Her fondness for sci-fi translates into a lush and adventurous sound which is heavily rooted in IDM, moving from cold hard techno, pounding electro, fuzzy acid to dreamy ambient. Balsam’s tracks have been released on labels including Fog Mountain Records, Lowriders Records and her monthly show can be caught on Rotterdam’s independent Operator Radio. She’s also part of Amsterdam’s new wave band De Ambassade who also played Grauzone in 2020.
