Phase Fatale (Us)
Phase Fatale is the Berlin-based project of New York-born DJ, producer and label owner Hayden Payne. Coming from a post-punk background, Payne has developed a distinctive sound where techno, EBM, industrial and post-punk collide.
A longtime resident at Berghain, as well as KHIDI in Tbilisi and New York’s queer collective Merge, Phase Fatale has become a key figure in the international underground electronic scene. He has released three albums, including Scanning Backwards on Ostgut Ton, alongside releases on Jealous God and his own BITE label.
No stranger to Grauzone, Payne has previously appeared at the festival as Phase Fatale behind the decks and live with Soft Crash, his project with Pablo Bozzi. This time he returns to his roots for something different: a special post-punk DJ set, digging into the music and influences that helped shape his sound.
