Schulverweis (de)
Schulverweis make punk the way it should be: completely in the moment. Just like the very existence of the band. Because Schulverweis actually only came about because they had to share a studio in the overcrowded metropolis of Hamburg. The appropriate line of the song: "In the expensive café around the corner, latte macchiato die. Drink my coffee black, like I deserve, no sugar for me, no sugar for me." The concept of the band, consisting of L.F.T. and Levente: They record every song directly in a jam on a tape deck. And that's where it all comes together: dystopian synth pads, dusty drum patterns and endearingly banal guitar riffs. There's a colorful mix of storytelling, shouting and babbling. German, French, English, who cares.
