The Etters (NL)

The Etters began as a chaotic idea born from a midlife crisis—and quickly evolved into one of the most unmistakably fun garage-punk acts in the Netherlands. When vocalist Jerry (former singer of The Jerry Hormone Ego Trip) hit a crisis point at 42, his counselor offered two options: buy a Harley-Davidson, or start a loud band with two younger punk musicians. Broke but motivated, he chose the latter, teaming up with Luna (bass) and Kate Oram (Chattermag) (drums) to form The Etters.

The trio plays Dutch-language punk that is fast and furious and full of sharp-edged charm. With songs like Patat met een snack, Kleine Lul, Lauwe Halve Liters, and Jij krijgt geen hoofd van mij, they celebrate everyday frustrations, sleazy nightlife, and the absurdity of modern life—all delivered with deadpan swagger and infectious energy.

Their debut album The Etters maken je hartstikke DOOD! (2024) introduced their chaotic universe to the world, receiving enthusiastic responses across the underground. Their shows are sweaty, hilarious, disorderly, and unforgettable.
