Theo Vandenhoff (can)
Theo Vandenhoff has evolved into one of the most exciting new post-punk bands emerging from Canada. What began as a solo endeavour quickly expanded into a full four-piece, developing a sound that balances dark romanticism, driving rhythms and infectious melodies.
In April 2026, the band released its debut album, Saviour, through Artoffact Records, home to artists such as Kontravoid, SDH, Ultra Sunn, Madeline Goldstein and Night in Athens, all acts that have become familiar Grauzone Festival names.
Combining post-punk melancholy with a touch of rock 'n' roll swagger, Theo Vandenhoff delivers songs that are simultaneously heavy, melodic, danceable and deeply emotional. Their music recalls artists such as The Birthday Party, Echo & The Bunnymen, Christian Death and Bauhaus while maintaining a distinct identity of its own.
We’re excited to welcome one of Canada’s most promising new acts to Grauzone 2027 for their first-ever European tour and Dutch debut.
