Years of Denial
French/Czech duo Years of Denial is the collaborative force of French musician Jerome Tcherneyan and Czech performance artist Barkosina Hanusova. Active since 2016, the duo has earned an international reputation for their sharp productions and electrifying live shows.
Using hardware electronics, dub-treated sound design and Barkosina’s unmistakable, haunting vocals, Years of Denial bridge the dark edges of post-punk, EBM, industrial, new beat and rave culture. Their performances fuse relentless rhythms and pulsating arpeggios with heavy electronics and psychedelic atmospherics, creating an intense, shadow-drenched world on the dance floor.
Their acclaimed “Suicide Disco” sound—coined by the band themselves—has defined two standout LPs on Veyl Records (2019 & 2023), supported by powerful remix EPs featuring Silent Servant, Orphx, Broken English Club, The Hacker and more.
The duo creates a deeply immersive atmosphere, vigorously keeping dancers on their toes and moving from the night’s darkest corners to the dawn of day. We’re very happy to welcome Years of Denial to Grauzone.
