American EBM virtuosos Youth Code — the powerhouse duo of Sara Taylor and Ryan George — return with their first new release in five years: Yours, With Malice, released in 2025 on Sumerian Records.

Formed in 2012 in Los Angeles, Youth Code began as a raw collaboration between partners Taylor and George, channeling the spirit of hardcore punk through the lens of industrial and synth-driven electronics. Inspired by New Order, Depeche Mode, and the confrontational energy of early Front 242 and Skinny Puppy, they quickly became one of the most vital acts in the modern EBM resurgence.

Their debut demo tape — followed by a 7” single on Genesis P-Orridge’s Angry Love Productions — sold out instantly and drew praise from industrial legends including Front Line Assembly and Skinny Puppy. Soon after, the band signed to Dais Records (home to TR/ST, Drab Majesty, and Riki) and released their acclaimed 2013 self-titled LP, followed by A Place to Stand (2014) and Commitment to Complications (2016).

Relentless touring followed, with Youth Code sharing stages with Chelsea Wolfe, HEALTH, My Chemical Romance, and Nine Inch Nails, cementing their reputation as one of the most explosive live acts in the industrial underground.

While Yours, With Malice draws from the brutal intensity of Nine Inch Nails’ Broken/Fixed era and the metallic chaos of Ministry’s The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste, alongside nods to Front 242, Cabaret Voltaire, and Portion Control, the band’s core attack remains unchanged: raw, furious, and fiercely human.

Still defiantly uncompromising and politically charged, Youth Code stand as the bridge between punk ferocity and electronic transcendence.
