Ladytron, The Hacker & Rein, Aux Animaux, Kelly Moran, Villanelle and more announced
Grauzone is proud to bring influential British electro-pop trio Ladytron back to the Netherlands for the first time in almost twenty years. Known for hits such as “Seventeen” and “Destroy Everything You Touch”, they were one of the crown jewels of the electroclash era of the 2000s. Earlier this year, they released their eighth album, Paradises. They have also worked with acts such as Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and Blondie, and even produced music for Christina Aguilera.
Also electro and techno pioneer The Hacker will perform together Swedish musician Rein . Together, they released the album We Come Alive this year, bringing EBM, electro and darkwave together.
The programme also welcomes a diverse range of exciting live acts. Austrian solo project Beaks and New Zealand heavy-psych duo Earth Tongue bring fuzzy guitar sounds, while New York composer Kelly Moran explores the hypnotic possibilities of prepared piano. Saint Just, featuring members of Algiers, fuse soul, synths and post-punk, and Chicago’s Body Shop deliver a dark, danceable mix of post-punk and EBM.
Returning Grauzone favourites Aux Animaux and Josephine Olivia bring their own shades of goth, darkwave and experimental darkness. They are joined by Los Angeles post-punkers Tube Alloys, Spanish synthpop duo Villanelle and British musician Zoe Heselton, whose music blends folk, blues, flamenco and free jazz.
The night programme features legendary The Hague DJ Intergalactic Gary, bringing an obscure mix of italo-disco, electro and early techno, alongside previously announced DJs including Phase Fatale, Ofra and Esther Dune.
More names and a special programme for Sunday 14 February will be announced soon. The Graukunst, film and performance programmes will follow.
